Is it kind of obvious that I haven't cooked in a while?...

Yep, that's just the garlic bread that I COMPLETELY burned a few nights ago.

I mean come on, who burns probably the easiest thing to make? ME.

I think Zach was mortified when he saw what I did.

The smoke alarm went off 4 times.

I'm sure our neighbors thought our house was burning down.

When I was first pregnant I was SICK...

Everyone kept telling me that it would go away by the second trimester.

During that time cooking was the LAST thing on my mind.

Well, that terrible sickness lasted the ENTIRE 9 months.

I was sick pretty much up until I delivered. Trust me, it wasn't fun!!

So needless to say, I think I cooked a total of 5 times when I was preggo.

Poor Zachary!!

Now that I am feeling SO much better, I decided that I need to step it up.

Cooking for me and my husband has got to be a priority.

I LOVE to cook, I am just a little rusty at the moment.

Now that I'm lucky enough to be a stay at home mom,

(is that weird to anyone else?)

I have the time.

Starting now...

The Growing Belly

blogging hiatus...I spent that time focusing on school, work,

and oh yeah, growing a BABY!!

Can you even believe how BIG I got?!

Well, now that little Eloise is here safe and sound, I'm back to blogging.

Today the San Francisco 49ers play in the NFC Championship game. Let's just say Zach hasn't been this excited for a football game in a long time! Hopefully they win and we will get to watch them play in a couple of weeks in the

Introducing Eloise

On December 26, 2011 we welcomed our first child, Eloise Madeline. She was five days late, but so worth the wait. We are loving being parents and feel so blessed to have such a happy and healthy baby. She has brought so much joy into our lives over the past 3 weeks.

GIRL!!!!

We decided that we wanted to do something

a little different to tell our families if

our baby is a boy or girl... So we had two cakes made.

Our families had to cut the cakes and see what color the

frosting was inside to get the exciting news.

Our family in Salt Lake got this cake...

And our family in San Antonio got this one.

Everyone was super excited when they saw

Well, everyone but Will... He was pretty heart broken

that it is not a boy.

We are beyond excited for our sweet baby girl.

Last week we celebrated our 3rd anniversary!!

I still can't believe that we have been married for three years.

Cliche I know, but it seems like just yesterday we

were walking out of the temple, as husband and wife.

Zach being the wonderful husband that he is surprised me

with a gorgeous arrangement of my favorite flowers from none other than Roots.

He had all sorts of fun things planned for our anniversary, but

unfortunately I was super sick. So instead, we celebrated

on our couch watching The Biggest Loser. Romantic, I know!!

Don't worry, we are going to go out and celebrate one of these nights!!

These past three years have flown by, but have

definitely been some of the best yet.

Last week, Zach and I had the opportunity to go see

Real Salt Lake, play Monterey in the CONCACAF finals.

We had AWESOME seats, and got to join in with all of the crazy fans...

It was a really good game...stressful at times though.

Unfortunately Real lost, 1-0, and Monterey took the championship.

We still love RSL, and can't wait to go to more games this season.

The Voice

After Zach got home tonight from studying for his chemistry

final (ouch), we decided to watch this new show...

Did anyone else watch it? It's pretty legit!! It's not your average singing

competition that I usually get bored with after a few episodes

(American Idol). And Zach even liked it too...that's saying a lot for a show like this.

For the first round, there are 4 judges who sit in

these nifty chairs that turn around. People come in and sing for them,

but the catch is that the judges can't see them singing, and have to

make a decision about them just from their voice...hence the name.

Long story short, it's a good new show, and you should all watch it.

Easter Treats

Happy Monday!! Are you ready for a new week?

We hope you all had a WONDERFUL Easter.

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house,

leaving our favorite Easter Candy and a gift certificate

to one of our most favorite restaurants...(Thanks Mom and Dad).

I opened up the egg and found all of these cute treats,

and a little note from my adorable friend Erin.

Geeze, I wish I could be as thoughtful as she ALWAYS is!!

On Saturday my nephew Will wanted to make cupcakes.

So, we decided to decorate them like little Easter baskets.

I think they turned out pretty dang cute!!

Thanks to my Mom, we even made some gluten-free

cupcakes so I could enjoy them too.

It was the first time I had eaten a cupcake in about a

year and a half...delicious!!

On April 7th, my dear friend BROOKE turned 22.

Her fiance Parker decided to throw her a surprise party

this past weekend so we could all celebrate her special day!!

If you know Brooke, you know that she loves ALL animals,

especially cute little BUNNIES. Yes, bunnies.

So, I thought that her party would only be complete if we had

a BUNNY cake for her to enjoy.

My friend Lizzie and I got to work on friday afternoon,

and made this cake for her...

That night we all met at Parker's house and waited for Brookie to arrive.

She finally got there, and was completely SURPRISED!!

She LOVED the cake.

We all had a great time hanging out, eating some of Brooke's

favorite treats, and celebrating her Birthday!!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Zach and I LOVE Wednesday afternoons...

Both of us have absolutely nothing to do.

No school, no work, no nothin'.

So, we get to spend the time together doing whatever we please.

This Wednesday it was super WINDY.

We decided that we needed to go FLY A KITE...Why not, right?

We ran to the local Toys R Us, and picked out a pretty sweet kite.

At first we thought it was a terodactyl...WRONG!!

It was actually a killer bee. Like I said, pretty sweet.

We are lucky enough to live right by Sugarhouse Park...the perfect

place to fly a kite.

Our kite broke about 5 minutes into the flight...I guess that's what

you get when you only pay $3.00 for the thing.

But don't fret, we fixed it, and up it went.

It was a perfect afternoon!!

We most definitely have a bad case of Spring Fever in this house.

Too bad it snowed the day after we flew our kite...stupid Utah.

Oh and in case you were wondering, I could NOT stop

singing the "Let's go fly a kite" song from

Mary Poppins the entire time we were at the park.

It's a good song, duh!!

Zach and I got a pretty good surprise this week when we

found out that our sister in law Heather was coming into town

from Washington, and bringing her four adorable kids.

They are on Spring Break, and Nate is swamped at the hospital.

So, last minute Heather decided to fly to Utah

to visit some family and friends....us included.

Last night we were lucky enough to meet Heather, Marlee and Audra for

dinner at Hires. They are staying up in Tremonton, but were down

in Salt Lake for a "Girls Day," as Marlee liked to call it.

We hadn't met AUDRA yet since she was born on January 26th...

So we were beyond thrilled when we got to spend some time with

our new niece last night.

She is SO sweet. I swear I could have held her all night.

Whenever Miss Marlee is around, we know we are in for a GOOD time.

This girl is HILARIOUS!!

I kept saying how Audra is SO cute and adorable.

Marlee just kept responding with, "well it's a good thing you're a Miller."

Maybe she meant that all Miller's are cute and adorable?

Thanks for such a fun night Heather, Marlee and Audra.

We miss you all WAY too much already.

Reunion

Last night we went to Zach's mission reunion!!

His mission president is now an area seventy, so he and

his wife were in town for General Conference.

They traveled all the way from Mexico City.

They put on a great fireside in Spanish, for all of

their returned missionaries and their families.

Don't worry...they had a translator;)

Zach had two mission presidents while he was on his mission.

The first was President Holdaway, and the second was

President Villalobos. I have been to a few mission reunions

with his first mission president before, but had never met his second.

It was great to finally meet President and Sister Villalobos,

and to see lots of Zach's companions and friends from

his mission in Mexico.

Must Read

So, I just finished reading this book...

I LOVED it.

It was such a different story...like nothing I have read before.

It hooked me from the beginning.

Like hooked me enough to make me stay up way past

my bedtime a few nights reading it.

We're talking about 3:00 am...but definitely

worth the exhaustion the next day.

And my southern accent is oh so good now, thanks to the book.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is READ IT people!!

Oh yeah and, they are making this book into a movie.

So read the book and we can go to the movie together, ok?

There's a Stranger in my BED

When Zach picked me up from school last night, he told me that

there was something for me sleeping in our bed...

I had NO idea what he was talking about.

So, when I got home I walked into our room and THIS

is what I found. My first thought was that it

was a coffin. I know, I'm weird like that. Then,

I thought that maybe Zach bought us a keyboard piano,

because they are kinda shaped like that. But then I realized that

neither of us play the piano, and seriously do they even make

those anymore? I got sick of guessing, so I pulled the

blankets down, and look what I found...

Yep thats right...my very own set of GOLF CLUBS!!!!

I was SO excited!! Much better than a coffin or keyboard right?

If you know Zach, you know that he LOVES golfing.

He's pretty much obsessed. When it's nice outside he golfs

at least once or twice a week. I on the other hand do not

consider golf to be one of my hobbies. In fact, I don't think I have

ever been golfing besides a few times at the driving range with

Zach, using his clubs that are right handed and probably two feet too

tall for me. Zach has wanted me to start golfing with him for quite some

time now. He thought it would be something fun that we could

do together. I thought, why not give it a try? Well, can I tell you how

hard it is to find a set of women's clubs that are left-handed? Yes, I

am a lefty. Proud of it. We have been looking for a long time, and

FINALLY Zach found some. It was a fun surprise!! I think he

was just as excited as I was.

We had to do a little putting practice in the

living room with the new clubs of course. Like our

ghetto make-shift hole?

Zach and I were both free this afternoon, so we

decided to go hit some balls at the DRIVING RANGE.

I had to test out the new clubs, ya know.

At first I could only hit them about 5 feet. Sad, I know.

But after some great coaching from Zach and about 50 balls later, I

started to get the hang of it. I hit it almost 100 yards which I thought

was pretty good for my first time. But nothing compared to

Zach...he's an old pro.

It was such a fun afternoon!! I can't wait to

start golfing lots more with my hubby, and

get onto the course. I know it's going to be

a really fun hobby for us to share. Hopefully his

friends don't get too annoyed with me wanting to tag along

on golfing trips all the time now...in advance, sorry guys.

Last night, I went out to dinner with some

of my lovely friends. After dinner, we

back to my house to chat. Well, somehow Lizzie

brought up the random fact that her Wii was in her car, and

that she had the game Just Dance 2...Needless to say,

the rest of the evening was spent dancing our little buns

off to this great game.

If you haven't played it, DO...I swear I have never

laughed so hard. It was hilarious trying to do all the moves.

It was SO worth it though.

And yes, we did have to shed our clothes because man,

this game was quite the workout!!

I love these girls and the fact that every minute

I spend with them is random, but pure entertainment.

We hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day...

Ours was great, but not what you would expect.

I started out the day with a trip to the Salt Lake Temple

with my best friend Brooke.

It was great doing baptisms for the dead,

since I haven't done those since I was married.

Zach started his day out bright and early with an

Organic Chemistry test...fun huh?

We went out for a quick breakfast before we

both had to be to work.

After work I went to school, tutoring,

and then met Zach up at the Huntsman Cancer Institute

Bistro for a "romantic" Valentine's dinner

during his break.

After dinner I went home and watched my

favorite show, The Bachelor.

What could be better on a day of LOVE then to watch

the bachelor fall in "love" with all his ladies?!

After that, I studied for a test and waited

for Zachary to get home from work...

I waited, and waited, and finally went to bed.

Surgery went late, so Zach had to work until 3:00 in the morning!

But, Zach got to scrub in and assist in an awesome surgery.

So it was worth the late night.

Like I said, not your average Valentine's day,

but it was still a great one!!

Cabin Fever

A few weekends ago, Zach and I headed up to

our CABIN with some of our favorite friends.

It was such a FUN weekend...

The boys did their "MANLY" things.

We played in the SNOW...

And did some SLEDDING!

We made a chain of sleds and had ZACH pull

us behind the four wheeler.

There were a few minor accidents...

And lots of LAUGHS.

There was plenty of time for relaxing, talking, and

staying WARM in the cabin.

premiere of the JUSTIN BIEBER movie last night...

I DID go, and I LOVED every minute of it!!

I went with my 14 year old cousin Ellie and her friends...

Oh, and it was in 3D...yes, 3D Justin Bieber.

What could be BETTER?!

You better believe we danced and sang along to all of his songs.

A Runner's BEST Friend

I have been trying to RUN a lot lately.

I am training for a HALF MARATHON with some of my friends.

It will be my first ever, and I am super excited!!

I have a few months left to train...so hopefully I will be ready.

I have discovered that I run the best, and longest

when I have some great TUNES to run along to.

This has become my new BEST FRIEND...

If you are a runner, GET ONE!!

This NANO is seriously TINY, and CUTE I might add.

It has CLIP on the back so I can clip it to my shirt

and run, hands free and without one of

those super annoying arm bands.

Zach took me on a CARRIAGE RIDE in Central Park...

So, I just finished the BOOK and I absolutely LOVED it!!

If you haven't read "Water For Elephants" please do.

Some of it is a little raunchy, but trust me you will end

up loving it...the story is AMAZING!! I couldn't put it down...

Guess what...

I have lived GLUTEN-FREE for a year!!

About this time last year I found out that I am allergic

to wheat...which meant that I needed to

switch to a gluten free diet.

It hasn't been easy. I can't tell you how

many times at the beginning I ate food without realizing it

had gluten in it, and learning the hard way sick as a dog.

But, I am learning what I can and can't eat and am feeling SO

much better. I am now an expert food label reader,

and can give you lots of pointers on

how/where to find yummy gluten free food.

I am SO glad I finally figured out why I was always sick.

I haven't felt this great in years!!

One of my favorite TRADITIONS that Zach and I have

is CUTTING DOWN our CHRISTMAS TREE...

My family has been doing this since I was 4,

so when Zach and I got married I decided

that we just HAD to keep the tradition going.

I love that our trees all have a story behind them.

This year was perfect! The weather was

beautiful, there was tons of snow, and we found

the most PERFECT tree!!

After walking in DEEP snow for a while, Zach and

I finally found the TREE we were looking for...

Zach cut it down and carried it out to our car...

What a man!!

We cut our tree down the day after Thanksgiving.

We have been SO busy the past few weeks that we FINALLY

got around to bringing it to our house and decorating it...

Zach strung all the lights on first.

Then, we got into our comfy pj's, turned on some Christmas tunes,

and got DECORATING!!

We decided to do a RED, GREEN, and SILVER tree this year.

Don't you all just love Zach's stache?!...Yuck, I don't!!

He is growing it out for our tacky Christmas sweater party...

Luckily it's this weekend. Trust me, the mustache

will be gone by the next day if I have my way.

Zach finished off the tree by putting the STAR on top!!

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out...

It finally feels like CHRISTMAS around here!!

Zach and I had a wonderful THANKSGIVING this year...

We LOVED the time we were able to spend with

FAMILY, close FRIENDS, and EACH OTHER.

My mom made a very impressive meal with all of our favorites.

We spent the holiday with a BIG group...

My family and our dear family friends from California and Idaho.

Zach and I had a lot to be thankful for this year,

and loved that we had a full day to reflect on it all.

Fall Obsession...

Ok, so being allergic to gluten can

have it's drawbacks...Obviously.

One is that I can't have one of my MOST

favorite fall treats...Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies.

Well, Zach and I go get frozen yogurt at our favorite

place, YOGURT STOP every Monday for FHE.

This week when we went they had PUMPKIN frozen yogurt.

I obviously had to try it...let me tell you, it's DELISH!!

I added some of these on top...

And it tasted JUST like

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies.

Problem solved.

It made me one HAPPY Aubree...

Only problem is, now I CRAVE it every night.

Go try it out...you most definitely won't be disappointed.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!

It's OFFICIAL...Austin will be home from his

mission in CHILE in exactly 43 days!!

About a week ago we got an email from his mission office

telling us that he would be home on December 3rd...

We were shocked!! We weren't expecting him home

for at least another month from that date.

We thought that he was being released early to make it home

in time for Christmas, and to start school in January.

We were SO beyond excited.

We even made a paper chain to help us all count down

to the days until he is home...

Our chain was looking pretty short!!

We had a lot to do to get ready for his homecoming.

Well, about a week later we got another email from

his mission secretary telling us that they had made

a mistake and that he was actually coming home December 14th.

Not bad, just about 10 days later then we planning.

Still, he would be home for Christmas!!

Then, about 2 hours later we got ANOTHER email from

his mission. Yep, you guessed it, they had made

another mistake. The 14th was wrong once again.

They felt SO bad, and told us the right date

of him coming home...

ELDER AUSTIN SERVICE will be

HOME

JANUARY 1st 2011!!!!

We have waited almost 2 years, what's 43 days right?!

I think this New Years will probably top them all.

We can't wait to finally have him home, and I

can't wait to have my brother back!!

4 Years

Exactly FOUR years ago today

Zach got home from his MISSION

in Hermosillo, Mexico...

A LOT has happened these past

four years in Zach's life, and in mine.

I am SO thankful that Zach was able

to serve a mission for our church.

It is a blessing in our lives each and everyday!!

It was during that time that we got to know

each other through our many LETTERS sent back and forth.

I know that he absolutely LOVED his mission, and

wouldn't change the experiences that he had for the world.

For those of you who know me, I'm sure you know

that I love, love, LOVE

LADY ANTEBELLUM...

They are probably one of my most favorite

country bands of all time.

I'm sure you've all seen me driving around

rocking out to LADY A.

So, when I heard that they were coming

in concert I HAD to get a ticket.

Luckily 4 of my best friends wanted to see them too.

Brooke, Al, ME, Kindra, and Erin

On our way to the concert...SO excited

We got there about 2 minutes before the show started...

And it was general admission.

We thought we would definitely be standing in the back.

But somehow we weaseled our way up to the very FRONT.

Yep, all these poor people were behind us.

We were SO excited to have FRONT ROW!!

LADY A!!!!

I can't even explain how GOOD the concert was,

and how close we were...

They were amazing.

After the concert we started walking to our car,

but to our surprise a TRAIN was in the way.

It was NOT MOVING...

We waited patiently for about 10 minutes, but still NO movement.

So, being the daring girls we are we decided

to just climb UNDER the train.

I know, NOT smart!!

Well, we made it under the train and to the parking lot safely.

But, when we got to our car we looked back and

the train was MOVING...

We could have been killed. Definitely dodged a bullet!!

It was such a FUN night, and I'm glad I survived it.

I had a blast dancing, and singing along

to LADY ANTEBELLUM with my besties.

Zach and I had the chance to celebrate HALLOWEEN

all throughout the month of October...

Our friends Brooke and Parker hosted a

MURDER MYSTERY DINNER.

I played the young actress Steffi Wood,

and Zach was the Entertainment reporter J.J. Scoop.

The party was SO much fun!!

Zach even won the "Drama Queen" award

for being the best actor of the night...

I have to say, I have the best friends!!

We decided to dress up in COSTUMES

Friday night and go out to dinner at our favorite place...

Spaghetti Factory.

We got a lot of weird looks, but we had the time of our lives.

On Saturday, we helped Will and Lucy get ready to go

TRICK-OR-TREATING...

Will was a Ninja Turtle, and Lucy was Snow White.

They were absolutely ADORABLE!!

On Saturday night, our friends Beau and Sarah

had a COSTUME PARTY at their house!!

Brooke and Parker won for the BEST costumes.

If you have seen The Royal Tenenbaums

you will appreciate their costumes and

realize how dead on they are...

Zach and I dressed up as ROCKY and ADRIENNE

from the Rocky movies...my favorite!!

I of course had to get a pic with my bestie.

Everyone at the party had GREAT costumes.

We had a ton of fun eating, chatting, and playing games.

Overall, it was a perfect Halloween Night!!

I can't believe it's already NOVEMBER...

Utah-Wyoming-Utah

Last Saturday Zach and I packed up the car,

went and picked up Jake, Alex, and Doug,

and headed up to Laramie, WYOMING for the

Utah vs. Wyoming FOOTBALL GAME!!

We made it up there in a little over 5 hours...

Just in time for the game to begin.

We all had A LOT of fun at the game.

I even got to see some of my cousins who live in Wyoming.

And what made it even better was that Utah won!!

After the game, we knew we had a LONG drive

ahead of us because we wanted to make it back that night.

But, we were all STARVING...so we decided to stop

at this little DINER for a quick meal.

Well, our quick meal turned into hours...Yes, HOURS!!

Long story short, our waitress was CRAZY.

3 hours later we finished our meal, and were out of there.

We hit the road with a long drive ahead of us,

and made it home around 4:00 a.m.

Needless to say, our day turned into quite the ADVENTURE.

I don't think the 5 of us will ever forget

our day in WYOMING...

told me that he has never been to the FAIR.

been to the UTAH STATE FAIR!!

Everything about it screams redneck,

I think it makes me feel like a kid again.

I decided that Zach needed to experience

the fair firsthand, and that this would be the year.

We spent our Labor Day weekend at the CABIN.

We had a great time up there!!

While we were there we decided to

go meet some of our friends up in MIDWAY...

We were originally going to go to the

hot pots, but changed our plans

and decided to go to SWISS DAYS.

It was so much fun to walk around and

see all the fun crafts the vendors had.

It made we want to be more crafty.

Oh how I LOVE these girls!!

After walking around for a bit we

went to The Homestead for a yummy dinner.

My adorable friend ALEXANDRA decided that

she wanted to learn how to do

EYELASH EXTENSIONS!!

So, a few weeks ago she took the class.

She is in the process of getting certified

and needed someone to PRACTICE on.

So of course, I let her practice on me...

I LOVE the fact that I don't have to curl

my lashes, or wear any mascara.

I think I am definitely going to have to keep these.

About 2 Years go,

Zach and I set a goal to visit all

50 STATES together...

We both LOVE traveling,

and thought it would be something

fun we could do together.

During the past two years we have been married,

we have been able to visit 22 STATES

with each other!!

Here they are...

We have had A LOT of FUN

during our travels across the country...

both by car and plane.

We can't wait to add Washington state

to our map next month!!

So, I finally found time to sit down and READ this...

All I have to say is that it was AMAZING!!

I was completely HOOKED from page 1.

I COULDN'T put it down.

We were able to spend a VERY exciting week with Zach's family in AUGUST. This week was special because Zach's sister AMY JO came home from her mission in ARGENTINA!! We were counting down the days until she got home, and were SO happy when this day was finally here. She is absolutely ADORABLE!! We know that she was an AMAZING missionary, but we are glad to have her HOME. Later on in the week, Zach's mom (Jolene) and step-dad (Burton) were SEALED in the Jordan River temple after being married for almost 18 years. After the sealing, they had a big family celebration dinner where we were able to visit with family and close friends. We were so glad that we were able to attend such a SPECIAL sealing, and share in this happy day with them. Zach's brothers and sisters and their families live all over the country. Many of them were able to come into town for this great week. We LOVED seeing all of them, and spending time with the ones that we don't get to see very often. We LOVE our family, and LOVED being able to see so many of them this summer!!

THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR

I absolutely LOVE this show!!

Yes, you can find me sitting for hours watching

in awe the talent that these people have.

I would give a whole lot to be an amazing chef,

and to have my own show on the Food Network.

I most definitely look forward to Sunday nights when

this show is on...It's getting close to the finals

Zach and I decided that it had been too long since we had
