I tried a new recipe, and made these the other night...

I know it sounds crazy, but I was craving them...Even though I can't eat them on a gluten free diet, I still had to make them so the people around me could enjoy them. It was the first time I had ever made them myself, and they turned out great!! Everyone said they were delicious, so I was quite satisfied even though I couldn't eat any. Here is the recipe...it's SO easy so try it!!

Cookies:
1 box Devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs

Mix well. Roll into quarter size balls. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.

Frosting:
1 square cream cheese (softened)
1 square butter (softened)
about 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

With a hand mixer, mix cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar slowly and mix until it is the consistency of frosting. Add vanilla and mix for about another 2 minutes.

When the cookies are cooled, frost the back of two cookies and put them together.

ENJOY!!
