Yesterday

I know that I'm not the first person to admit this, but I'll just come out and say it. Life is NOT perfect. In fact, sometimes it can be incredibly hard. Take yesterday for instance...Yesterday was rough for some reason. The house was a disaster, and there was a huge pile of laundry staring me down smack dab in the eyes. The hubby was gone for what seemed like years, focusing on school and work. When he got home, he had a terrible migraine and just needed to go to bed. There was nothing I could do to help the poor guy. The baby was unusually fussy. She didn't want to sleep, and had a difficult time eating. Those few extra pounds i've been trying to get rid of since having Eloise just seemed to creep up on me extra hard. Almost to the point where it was all I could think of. Like I said, yesterday was rough. I won't hide the fact that a few tears were shed. As I sat down last night feeling pretty sorry for myself, I somehow knew that everything would be ok. In the late hours of the night, as I sat there holding my soundly sleeping baby girl, I realized that everything that had been plaguing my thoughts didn't even matter. I would go to sleep, and wake up knowing that today is a whole new day. I have the opportunity to make today better. And do you know what? It already is. Here's to a better day.

I truly love this post. Life gets hard sometimes and I can only imagine how tired you're feeling. I hope you don't let it get you down, because it's just like you said: somehow, things get better. I've become a very optimistic person in the sense that even when things are downright crappy, I still believe it'll be better eventually.

I hope all the things you want to happen, do happen. Like losing the weight (which I'm currently fighting too, even though it's always been a struggle.) I think we're both strong enough :)

Somehow going to sleep and waking up usually takes care of my day's problems just fine. :)

I've also learned to do things I like, on purpose, at the end of a hard day. Even if its just a long shower or a glass of chocolate milk. Gives me something to look forward to.

Boy can I relate to this! Last night was one of those days for me too... sometimes it's not a walk in the park... sometimes it hard and draining and challenging, but it's those good moments that get us through the tricky times.

You're doing great! And you're not alone! I just posted this very same thing on my blog this morning.... same wave length anyone?? :)

Beautiful picture!!!

Sounds like you have a great perspective. Sometimes all it takes to turn around a day for me is to change my own outlook... of course that is easier said than done!

Thanks for visiting my blog, your family is adorable!

Oh girl, I have moments like this at least once a week. You are not alone!! I love that, "let's start over feeling," you get with a new day. Being a mama is indeed hard work. I love how honest you are about your feelings, so refreshing! Hope you have a great rest of the week.

I love your optimism! I strive to think like that and I truly believe it helps. We are all entitled to have bad days once and a while though :)

Thank you for not hiding the hard times. It is so important to bring attention to them as well- they are what makes the good times that much better!

Hi!

I just wanted to say that I got your comment on my most recent Awkward and Awesome Thursday, and when I went to reply to it, I clumsily deleted it instead :-(.

Just so that you know that you didn't offend me or upset me or anything! On the contrary, I was quite blessed by it :-)

Here's to better days,
